We had a wonderful visit from the leadership team of Asia New Zealand. Their Hui included a visit to the Lawrence Chinese Camp and sites in Dunedin and Central Otago with Chinese history significance.  Click here to read on Asia NZ website

Chinese New Year 2020 - Year of the Rat was clebrated at the Lawrence Chinese Camp with Dancing, music, Lion dance performances and food. The fun day drew around 250 people for entertainment and children's activities. 

Trustees attended a ceremony for the reinterment of Chinese, who among the 34 settlers exhumed, had lived in the Tuapeka region during the gold rush period. A christian ceremony was followed by a Cantonese ceremony led by Les and Maisie Wong. The ODT ariticle can be read here

Chinese New Year 2023 was celebrated at the Lawrence Chinese Camp with performances and guests from New Zealand wide. The festival also launched the Chinese History Schools Curriculum led by Sun Gum Saan Ltd.   Click here to see the full articles and photos
